Raiders' Lonnie Johnson Jr. set to make season debut Thursday at Denver
Las Vegas Raiders safety Lonnie Johnson Jr. will be activated off injured reserve and is set to make his season debut Thursday night at Denver. Johnson broke his right leg during a training camp scrimmage Aug. 2 at Allegiant Stadium. Now Johnson will play in what is a short week for his teammates, who lost 30-29 in overtime Sunday to Jacksonville.

When safety <a href="https://www.fieldgulls.com/seattle-seahawks-news/154162/seahawks-waive-safety-jerrick-reed-ii-rashid-shaheed-trade-nfl-news">Jerrick Reed II was waived on Tuesday</a> to make room for Rashid Shaheed, many assumed (perhaps the Seahawks as well) that Reed II would be able to move back to the practice squad as he has earlier this season. However, that will not be the case as the <a href="https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/1986178396284448823">Tennessee Titans just claimed Reed II off of waivers</a>.</p><p class="has-text-align-none">Reed II’s departure out of Seattle will be a hit to the Seahawks safety and special teams depth. The third-year safety out of New Mexico had four tackles in 13 defensive snaps and 62 special teams snaps in four games this season. </p><p class="has-text-align-none"><a href="https://www.fieldgulls.com/seattle-seahawks-news/153772/seahawks-make-flurry-of-roster-moves-as-injuries-pile-up">With Julian Love on injured reserve</a>, and Reed now in Tennessee, the Seahawks have Coby Bryant and Ty Okada as your starters at safety, with Nick Emmanwori playing big-nickel, and D’Anthony Bell as depth. Seattle also has Maxen Hook as another safety on the practice squad.</p><p class="has-text-align-none"></p>)
